SYNOPSIS// Deep down, inside our bodies, lives the soul. No one has ever seen it, but we all know it’s there. There is a ‘soul bird’ who lives inside us all.
Tróndur Patursson is a Faroese artist, who has become famous for his trademark stained glass birds. For him, his job as an artist is to capture the soul of those beings represented in his work. And he believes that just like the bird is free, so we must allow our soul to be free.

Trondur Patursson
Tróndur Patursson (born 1 March 1944 in Kirkjubøur) is a Faroese painter, sculptor, glass artist and adventurer. He was educated in Norway and was initially a sculptor. He has since become better known as a painter and glass artist.
In February 2013 Patursson had an art exhibition at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; it was an installation called “Migration”, featuring approximately 90 of his trademark stained glass birds in the Grand Foyer windows throughout Nordic Cool 2013. The exhibition was a part of the Nordic Cool 2013. In 1976 he joined Tim Severin in a transatlantic voyage in a replica 6th century leather-hulled curragh named Brendan. The boat was named for the Irish monk Saint Brendan who was said to have made the same voyage centuries before the Vikings and Christopher Columbus.
Patursson joined Brendan when it arrived in the Faroe Islands and replaced another crewman. Patursson’s home was at Brandonvik, the Viking name for Brendan’s Creek.

El febrer de 2013 Patursson va fer una exposició d’art al John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; es tractava d’una instal·lació anomenada “Migration”, amb aproximadament 90 dels seus vitralls característics a les finestres del Grand Foyer durant el Nordic Cool 2013. L’exposició formava part del Nordic Cool 2013. El 1976 es va unir a Tim Severin en un viatge transatlàntic a una rèplica de curragh de pell del segle VI anomenada Brendan. El vaixell va rebre el nom del monjo irlandès Saint Brendan, que es deia que va fer el mateix viatge segles abans que els víkings i Cristòfor Colom.
Patursson es va unir a Brendan quan va arribar a les Illes Fèroe i va substituir un altre tripulant. La casa de Patursson era a Brandonvik, el nom víking de Brendan’s Creek.

El barco recibió su nombre del monje irlandés Saint Brendan, de quien se dice que hizo el mismo viaje siglos antes que los vikingos y Cristóbal Colón.
Patursson se unió a Brendan cuando llegó a las Islas Feroe y reemplazó a otro tripulante. La casa de Patursson estaba en Brandonvik, el nombre vikingo de Brendan’s Creek.

We’d like to spend our time producing only films that inspire. Films without a corporate agenda or linked to any advertising of brands or products. Films that can be uploaded online and shared freely.

Som un col·lectiu apassionat de quatre creatius, en un viatge per compartir històries positives. Fem pel·lícules que ens emocionen; a aquests els anomenem projectes de passió. Allà on mirem, veiem un món ple d’inspiració. De vegades és capturar una conversa amb algú que aprecia la veritable bellesa del món. Altres vegades és conèixer gent interessant que s’inspira en la natura. Gent normal fent coses extraordinàries. Amb la vostra ajuda, compartirem almenys una pel·lícula nova cada setmana.
La nostra missió és compartir les nostres pel·lícules lliurement.
Ens agradaria passar el nostre temps produint només pel·lícules que inspirin. Pel·lícules sense agenda corporativa o vinculades a cap publicitat de marques o productes. Pel·lícules que es poden penjar en línia i compartir lliurement.
